Enjoy Your Weekend Brunch With A Game Of Canasta Cards

If you love playing Rummy then you would love the thrill that comes with Canasta. If you are new to it then read on to learn more and have an interesting weekend with your family and friends.

How to Play: Canasta is designed to be played with four members that work as partners. Here come the rules.

• To play it you need two standard decks and 4 jokers i.e. a total of 108 with each assigned a different value. Generally jokers are assigned the highest value that is 50. Aces and two’s are 20 points each. Kings, queens, jacks, nines, tens, and eights are 10 points each. The remaining ones have the lowest point value that is 5.

• Deuces and jokers are called wild cards, while others are considered natural. Each player will deal with a pile of cards face up and a pile face down (Similar to Spades game). The player on the left of the dealer will start first. Clockwise, players will draw a card from the pile and add it to their own face down pile without revealing the ones they have collected. After this they will start discarding one by one from the pile that is facing up and let other players to see it. This is the challenge and hot portion of Canasta Cards as players can see what you are giving up but don’t know what have you gained actually.

• The purpose of this process here is to create a meld (having three or more cards of the same value or rank). Creating A meld of seven (higher) is called Canasta. A red Canasta occurs when all your cards are pure and natural whereas in black Canasta you have a wild set.

• The player who disposes all the cards from his hand ends play. That team wins the game.

Isn’t it exciting? To add more excitement you can order custom front and back playing cards online and have a Casino Experience at the comforts of your home.
